Slow-Release Fertilizer for Nepenthes

Osmocote Pro is a professional slow-release fertilizer (NPK 14-9-15 + 2% MgO + trace elements) suitable for Nepenthes and other carnivorous plants when used carefully and in small quantities.

It provides steady and controlled nutrient release for approximately 9 months, depending on temperature and cultivation conditions.

For peat-based substrates, I personally use:

4–5 pellets per pot (adult plants)

This is a general guideline. Nutrient release and plant response may vary depending on temperature, watering frequency, substrate type, growing conditions

Plants grown in warmer environments will experience faster nutrient release than those kept cooler.

Application

Mix pellets directly into the substrate, alternatively, pellets can be placed on the substrate surface (moss will grow faster), in some cases, pellets may also be placed directly into pitchers

Always start with small amounts and observe plant response.

Important Notice

Fertilizer should be used carefully.
Overfertilization can damage roots and sensitive plants.

Nepenthes are adapted to low-nutrient environments — moderation is essential.
