Darlingtonia californica

Darlingtonia californica, the cobra lily, is a fascinating carnivorous plant with distinctive cobra-shaped pitchers. I recommend keeping its roots and rhizome cool, especially in summer, using cool water in the tray and avoiding overheating. For winter, I recommend a cool, frost-free spot. With these conditions, this unusual pitcher plant can be rewarding to grow. I grow them in Coco husk.
