Nepenthes ventricosa ‚porcelain‘ x lowii ‚Murud‘ 2 SEEDPODS

An exciting reverse cross of the well-known Nepenthes lowii × ventricosa! Here, N. ventricosa ‘Porcelain’ is the female parent, while N. lowii ‘Murud’ provides the pollen.

The ventricosa ‘Porcelain’ mother plant produces exceptionally large, thick-walled and remarkably hard pitchers. Initially creamy in colour, they mature to a deep red, including the interior, complemented by a beautifully red peristome.

This pairing is expected to produce vigorous plants with large, impressive pitchers, offering the potential for shapes and colours that differ from commonly available lowii × ventricosa selections. As with any seed-grown hybrid, individual seedlings will vary, making this an exciting cross to grow and select from.

Each purchase includes two seed pods containing at least 30 seeds in total, typically around 30–50 seeds. You are purchasing seeds, not a live plant.

The seeds are relatively small, as is typical for ventricosa, but show well-developed embryos—a promising indication of seed quality, although germination cannot be guaranteed.
